Stilton Stumblers don’t endorse any products, suppliers or other websites (well, except www.stilton.org of course!) but you might find some of these links useful.
Publications
Has a pull-out supplement of good-quality walks. Worth treating yourself to the occasional copy for these alone, and to window-shop for expensive kit!
If you subscribe to it, you can login to their website and download lots more walks.
Resources
The Ordnance Survey needs no introduction, but not everybody knows about their FREE Get A Map online service. If you’re thinking of exploring somewhere, but can’t find an OS map (or don’t need a complete one) this service lets you print off a small area. Enter the place name, postcode or grid reference.
Where’s the Path? This has to be the coolest website ever for walkers!
Shopping
Blacks, the outdoor gear people, have a branch in Peterborough and an online shop here...
...while Cotswold have a branch at the Garden Retail Park off the Eye Road and an online shop here.
Gadgets & Gizmos
Expensive, but for the computer-literate can be cheaper than buying loads of paper OS maps. You can plan walks, measure distances, and even see the terrain in 3D!
