Stumblers don’t need telling that regular walking is good for you, but it seems that even a few minutes every day can have a dramatic improvement on your health.

Recently published research by Indiana University found clear evidence that even five minutes gentle walking can reverse the harm caused by an hour spent sitting. As many of us spend our working day at a desk this is good news.

So why not start the habit of going for a short walk around the block during your lunch break? Try walking up & down the stairs instead of taking the lift, or walk down to the village shop instead of driving.
